What is there to do at Changbaishan if you do not ski?

The Wanda Changbaishan resort has the Hannashan Hot Springs, an indoor water park operating through the winter, the WowCool Snow Park with snow tubing, sledding and animal encounters, and the Wanda Shopping Street with restaurants, cafes and a cinema. All are walkable from the hotels.

Is there anything for young children who are too small to ski?

Yes. The WowCool Snow Park requires no ski experience at all and is designed for all ages, with snow tubing, sledding, themed play zones and wildlife encounters. The indoor water park is another good option for younger children or for rest days.

Are the resort activities included or charged separately?

ETEX Travel packages include one Wanda Water Park entry and one Hannashan Hot Springs entry per person. Several hotel winter packages also bundle snow park and water park day passes. Additional visits can be arranged at extra cost.

Can children use the hot springs in minus 15 degree weather?

Yes. The Hannashan complex is a geothermal hot spring within the resort grounds, adjacent to most hotels, with heated outdoor pools. Soaking outdoors while it is well below freezing is one of the more memorable parts of the trip for most families.

An indoor water park operating during the winter season (December–March) — a great option for rest days or younger children. Several hotels include water park day passes in their winter packages.

🌋 Heaven Lake (Tianchi)

Changbaishan's crown jewel — a volcanic crater lake frozen solid in winter, surrounded by 16 peaks blanketed in snow. The scale is breathtaking and unlike anything in Southeast Asia. In winter, access is by snowmobile from the road end — an adventure children love in itself.
