Stay 4 or 6 nights depending on your package, at any of our internationally branded partner hotels — Wanda Momoland, Sheraton, Westin, or Hyatt Regency. The Sheraton, Westin and Hyatt Regency are ski-in/ski-out; Wanda Momoland has its own lifts at Guosong, and the main ski centre is a 10-minute walk or a 5-minute shuttle ride away. Daily breakfast included, whichever tier you choose.

Professional daily coaching for children, over 3 or 5 days depending on your package — maximum 1:3 coach-to-student ratio. Structured progression from the magic carpet all the way to chairlift runs.

Questions families ask before booking

Are ski lessons available for adults, or just children?

The package includes daily ski instruction for children. Adult lessons can be arranged separately — just let us know when you enquire and we'll include it in your proposal.

We'll do our best to group adults together with others at a similar level, though this cannot be guaranteed. One of the great advantages of skiing in China is smaller class sizes — typically no more than 1 to 3 students per instructor — so adult beginners tend to progress quickly.

💡 Not a skier yet? That's completely fine — most of the adults on our trips are first-timers too.

How old do children need to be? Are there height or weight limits?

We recommend this package for children aged 5 and above. The key requirement is that children must be fully toilet-trained and able to visit the bathroom independently — our instructors take small groups onto the slopes, so they need to be able to manage this on their own during lesson time.

There is no minimum height or weight requirement for equipment hire or lessons.

We want your booking experience to feel as comfortable as the holiday itself. Below is everything you need to know about securing your place and settling your balance — written plainly, without fine print.

10% Deposit to Confirm Your Booking
A deposit of 10% of the total package value is required at the time of booking to secure your family's place. This applies to land components only — accommodation, lessons, transfers, ski passes, and activities. International flights, if arranged separately, are not included in this calculation.

Balance Due 50 Days Before Arrival
The remaining balance must be settled no later than 50 days before your arrival at Changbaishan. We'll send a clear invoice well ahead of this date — you won't need to track it yourself. If you have any questions about the final amount, reach out before the due date and we'll sort it together.

Late Payment & Forfeiture
If the balance is not received by the 50-day deadline, ETEX Travel reserves the right to release the booking and retain the deposit. We'll always do our best to reach you before this happens — but please treat the deadline as firm. Settling early is always appreciated.

Changes & Amendments
Life happens, and we'll always do our best to accommodate changes to your itinerary — room configurations, activity selections, group size adjustments. The earlier you raise a request, the better we can help. Once final payment has been made, we cannot guarantee that further amendments will be possible, so please let us know sooner rather than later.

Payment Methods
We accept bank transfer (PayNow / FAST) and major credit and debit cards. A 3% service fee applies to credit and debit card transactions — bank transfer remains fee-free. Full payment instructions are included in your booking confirmation. If you have a preferred method not listed, just ask — we'll do our best to accommodate.

What is included in an ETEX Travel Changbaishan ski package?

How long are the children's ski lessons each day?
Lessons run 5 hours per day, inclusive of lunch, over either 3 or 5 days depending on the package. The coach-to-student ratio is a maximum of 1:3, and instruction is structured to progress children from the magic carpet through to chairlift runs.
Do we need to rent ski equipment separately?
No. Skis or snowboard, boots and helmet are included for every member of the family for the entire trip, professionally fitted on arrival. Thermal ski wear is not included in the package but can be arranged at additional cost.
Is a lift pass included, or do we buy it there?
An all-access ski pass is included for every day of your stay, covering all lifts and cable cars at both the Guosong and Xiaozhen service centres. It is valid for either the day session (8:30 AM to 4:30 PM) or the evening session (4:30 PM to 9:00 PM) each day.
What sort of rooms do families stay in?
Standard packages provide 2 Standard Connecting Rooms per family. Suites are not part of any standard package. The Sheraton, Westin and Hyatt Regency are ski-in/ski-out; the 4-star Wanda Momoland has its own lifts at Guosong, and the main ski centre is a 10-minute walk or a 5-minute shuttle ride away. All tiers include daily breakfast.
Will WhatsApp and Google work on our phones in China?
Yes. Every adult guest receives a complimentary e-SIM pre-loaded with data for the full trip, which routes the connection through an international network. WhatsApp, Google, Instagram and Facebook all work normally, with no VPN or extra setup required.
How much does a family ski trip to Changbaishan cost?
The total depends on your hotel tier, how many nights you stay and whether you take 3 or 5 days of lessons. The price calculator on the ETEX Travel site gives an exact figure for your family's dates and party size without requiring a phone call.
How long is the transfer from the airport to the hotel?
About 25 minutes by private car. Changbaishan Airport was purpose-built to serve the Wanda resort, so unlike most ski destinations there is no long road transfer at the end of travel day. Private pick-up and drop-off both ways is included in every package.
Do we need a visa to travel to China from Singapore?
No. Singapore passport holders travel to mainland China visa-free for stays of up to 30 days, which covers any standard ski package length. There is nothing to apply for before departure.
